Rick M. Deadwyler, Jr., serves as the U.S. Eastern Region Director for Government & Industry Affairs for Corteva Agriscience after serving in public affairs leadership roles with the DuPont Company. Rick promotes, advances and defends public policy issues and opportunities at every level of government, while also working to promote and protect Corteva’s the corporate reputation in the company’s Global Corporate Business Center.

Prior to his return to DuPont, now Corteva, Rick served in leadership roles in Delaware’s most prominent institutions… Assistant Vice President for Government & Community Relations at the University of Delaware and Vice President of Community Engagement for the Delaware Community Foundation, where utilized his extensive network and long-standing relationships with the Delaware Valley’s business, government and community leaders to strategically to guide resources support and help address Delaware’s priority challenges.

A native Wilmingtonian, Rick was recognized as a distinguished scholar student and accomplished athlete as he received a myriad of individual and team honors both at the high school and collegiate levels. While at the University of Delaware, Rick captained teams who earned two (2) conference championships, and participated in two(2) NCAA National March Madness Tournaments in 1992 and 1993.

Rick is recognized as a dedicated community leader throughout the Greater Delaware Valley. Celebrating 30 years of Brotherhood as member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Rick serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Delaware and in board leadership roles with the Boys & Girls Club of Delaware, Christiana Care Healthcare System, the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Racial Justice Collaborative.

In his most important role as a husband and father, Rick currently resides in Newark, Delaware with his wife of 25 years, Yvonne and their sons, Ricky, Jaden and Zachary.
